THE PRESIDENT
Bob Frost rescued Kailua Music School in 2003 after 10 years of operations. As a professional bass player and music lover, Bob Frost or "Frosty" saw a need for a quality music school in the Kailua community. Bob has a BSBA from Hawaii Pacific University and owns, Up Your Assets, Inc., an accounting firm specializing in tax planning, preparation and intervention. Bob believes that music will save the world and he has put his money where his mouth is.

THE DIRECTOR
Chris Vandercook has been a working musician for more than thirty years. He is the leader of the Chris Vandercook Band, a four-piece blues and jazz group. He also has an extensive background as a television news producer, a photographer, and has written album notes for recordings by artists as diverse as Hawaii slack-key master Raymond Kane and jazz great Dizzy Gillespie.

His photographs of jazz and blues artists are on display at Kailua Music School's studio. As a teacher of guitar and bass, Chris puts the emphasis on fundamentals. "A strong grounding in the basics allows you to choose your own musical direction and make the most of your skills."When you build those skills, thatıs when the fun really begins."
